JS15 Cleaning Up Your Excel Spreadsheet Before Importing

For most, the worst part of moving from one CRM to another is the database exporting and importing. No one wants to hunt and peck later to clean up things once the contacts have been imported.  That is time-consuming, especially when you can do it way faster BEFORE the import!  In this lesson, we walk you through how to clean up that spreadsheet BEFORE you import so you have the cleanest possible database once you do import all your leads.

Do not skip this very, very informative lesson where we walk you through the fastest way to clean up efficiently and effectively.  We will provide you the columns you should include and create for Flags, Hotness Levels, Statuses, Contact Types and more!

Phone number formats can vary and will work for nearly every type, including those in the screenshot below.

The format for column headers for OTHER (aka spouse) are as follows:

Otherfirstname
Otherlastname
Otheremail
Otherbirthday

Follow the instructions in the video to add the Other's phone.

TIP: If you are just creating your own new spreadsheet or wish to see a great example of all the columns you should have, see the blank Excel spreadsheet we have provided you below.  Create your own quick contact table to import faster than adding leads one-by-one manually (example: adding leads from open house lists).
